Crows Nest QLD Meals on Wheels has been a cornerstone of community care in the region since its establishment on December 31, 1988. As a registered charity, the organisation is dedicated to delivering nutritious meals and providing social interaction to elderly and vulnerable residents, enabling them to maintain independence and well-being in their own homes.
Meals are delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to clients within the town area, while meals are delivered fortnightly to clients in outlying areas. This schedule ensures that clients receive regular, nutritious meals tailored to their needs
Volunteers are integral to the operation, handling meal coordination, delivery and administrative tasks. Their dedication not only ensures the smooth running of the service but also provides clients with valuable social contact, often being the only regular visitors some of our clients receive.
