Everyone is Welcome! How to Access Our Services

Referrals are welcome from anyone – friends, family, healthcare providers, or the individual needing support. We accept referrals for those eligible for NDIS, Home Care Packages, or the Commonwealth Home Support Program.

Once a referral is received, your local Meals on Wheels team will contact you to arrange meal deliveries and discuss any dietary needs.

If you don’t qualify for support packages but want wholesome meals delivered weekly, you can still access our service. Simply reach out or call Lesley at 0432 306 826.

Your Meal Plan: Costs and Funding

Whether you’re subsidised or self-funded, we’re here to help. Explore the options to see what costs apply to you.

Commonwealth Home Support Program

If you’re 65 or older—or 50+ for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people—you may be eligible for subsidised meals through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). Meals on Wheels is partly funded by the government, with a small contribution from you. To begin, register with My Aged Care and request a referral for meals.

Home Care Packages

If you have a Home Care Package (HCP), your funding can be used for meal preparation and delivery, with just a small out-of-pocket cost for ingredients—often as little as $3 per meal. On average, HCP covers around 70% of the total cost. Just ask your provider to nominate Meals on Wheels™ as your meal service.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

If your NDIS plan includes the right line item, it can fund meal prep and delivery, while you cover a small ingredient cost—often just 30%, or as little as $3 per meal. It’s an easy, affordable way to enjoy nutritious food while maintaining your independence.

Fee for Service

If you’re not eligible for the funding options above, you can still access meals by paying the full cost. To learn more about pricing, contact us directly—we’re happy to help!
